Even if you’re a beginner, you can enjoy the ride with confidence. We provide life jackets, a full safety briefing, and clear instructions before you even step on board. Our instructors are always nearby ensuring you have support if needed, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll feel like a pro! And the best part- it only takes 15 minutes to learn how to drive the boats.
First, we teach you how to turn on the jetboat and navigate the gearshift. Next, we explain the steering mechanism and what to expect when taking the corners on the lake.
The most important thing to remember when driving a jetboat is that the throttle controls your steering. Unlike traditional boats, a jetboat requires power to turn effectively. This makes the learning curve quick and intuitive: more throttle, more control. Once you grasp this, steering becomes second nature. Our boats are designed to be responsive and easy to handle, allowing you to master the art of jetboating in no time.
Once the briefing is done, we put you into the driver’s seat with one of our instructors as your passenger, and you take the jetboat out on a “slow lap”- where you put the theory into practice and feel the handling of the boat.
Once you are confident enough to get out on the lake for your race laps, we send you off with your passenger to try and get the best lap time.
